Isaya Evans: Here is how to survive as an actor in Kenya

Isaya Evans is no stranger to you. He either pops up on your television screen every so often on local shows or peers down at you from the lofty heights of the billboards he is regularly featured on advertising products. His ad, TV, film and theatre roles appearances combined, rake up to more than 40 in total. The companies whose products he advertises are top of the range, including Safaricom, Guinness, and Tusker; while the film and TV shows he features in are also in the A and B list, including 18 Hours, Sumu La Penzi, Jane and Abel,  Kizingo, All in a Day, See them Blind, Kansola, Siri Gizani, Astrodystopia, and Majaribu, among others. Isaya is currently working on a short TV series on voter education with Uraia.

We caught up with this 31 year old to tell us how he manages to be so prolific in the hard-knock acting world.
